Winterfest
![]() |
Traditionally held on Family Day this event has a bit of a troubled past. We rely on consistent, cold weather so that the lake is safe for skating and other fun activities. Typically events for kids of all ages are organized and everyone enjoys a winter bbq. This year’s event was held at Hidden Valley Campground on Sunday, February 23rd, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm. |
Buckstock
![]() |
This event began in 2021. Buckstock is an afternoon concert and picnic which raises funds for Southern Frontenac Community Services. This year’s event will be held on Saturday, June 27th, 2026 at Hidden Valley Campground. Last year’s event raised over $4,100 for SFCS! |
Boatilla
Education Night
![]() |
Education Night is organized by the Friends of the Lake committee and has traditionally been held in mid-July at the Perth Road Sunday School Hall. Each year brings us new and interesting speakers on a wide range of environmental topics designed to be of interest to the whole family. |
Buck Lake Corn Cookout
![]() |
One of the highlights of the summer is the Buck Lake Corn Cookout. A wonderful opportunity to get together with fellow Buck Lakers and enjoy some great food and conversation. In addition, there are always games and crafts to keep the kids entertained. |
Calendar
![]() |
Every year we create a Buck Lake calendar filled with your amazing pictures from around the lake. We collect pictures throughout the year and the calendars typically go on sale in October. Send your pictures to us at BuckLakeAssoc@nullgmail.com. Please send the pictures at full resolution and provide your name and information about where the photo was taken. |
Murder Mystery
![]() |
It’s been a few years now but we used to host an annual Murder Mystery each October jointly with the Westport Legion.
In addition to the Murder Mystery, there was a silent auction with a huge selection of items to bid on. The proceeds from the auction were shared between the Legion and Buck Lake with the Buck Lake portion supporting Easter Seals Camp Merrywood. |
Golf
![]() |
Buck Lake is fortunate to have two excellent 9-hole golf courses located near by in Westport – Evergreen and Rideau Lakes.
